Cabochons

Cabochons (pronounced kab-uh-shons) refer to gemstones that have been shaped and polished rather than faceted.

They usually have a smooth top and a flat back, which makes them perfect for setting in rings, pendants, or other jewellery.

Unlike faceted gems that sparkle through many cuts, cabochons highlight a stone’s natural colour, pattern, and texture... making them ideal for crystals like opal, moonstone, labradorite, and turquoise, where sheen or inclusions are part of the beauty.
