Generally, obsidian in blue form appears as a pale blue rock form that looks very much like glass.
It is a silica rich volcanic rock and occurs when viscous lava cools at a very rapid rate.
Natural deposits of blue obsidian are currently being mined in certain parts of Greece, as well as in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
