Lepidolite’s name comes from the Greek word for “scale,” this is in reference to its appearance.
It was first discovered in 1861 and was originally called Lilalite because of its purple colour. This stone is associated with the crown chakra and the third eye chakra.
Lepidolite can be found in Brazil, the United States, Russia, Canada and Madagascar.
It is believed to restore balance and brings inner peace.
It can come in a range of purple hues from lavender to a deep violet.
